The Self Illusion encourages viewers to reflect on identity, perception, art-displaying tendencies, our relationships to one another, functionality, photography, illusions and how they align.

When entering the space, each participant becomes an apparatus for activating the room. Shadows project on surfaces, and figures alter reflections depending on one’s standpoint. When a group joins the space, collaboration is inherent. The interrelationship of an onlooker within the installation core to the work.
